Kirbyville, Texas - Hello

Postby lcarter » Wed May 02, 2012 5:59 am

We are just getting started with a farrow-to-feeder operation with 6 gilts and one boar. I've been building three pig-proof pens for several weeks, the first two pens failed the test and my first pigs got out, fortunately we lured them back in the pen with feed and just let them come home.

Three gilts and the boar are from NoneSuch in Cut & Shoot, Texas, I want to sell those three gilts and not breed them to their brother.

How old are the ones you are planning to not keep? and who are their parents?

Mike,

The three gilts are approximately 3 months old, I'll have to get back to you on Pedigree. My wife has the paper work at home. We wormed and tagged them Sunday morning.

Ours are from Nonesuch farm also. They appear to be very good stock. We have had them for about a month now.
We are located in Stockdale, near San Antonio. Hope to get to chat with you sometime about your operation.
