The following topics were discussed and decisions made by the Board of Directors via teleconference on August 5, 2009:

1. Each family membership in the RWHA equals 2 votes for elections and issues decided by a vote of the membership.

2. Advertising in the RWHA newsletter will be offered to the membership. Ad space will be 2" X 3" . For ads that are in .pdf format and ready to go the cost will be just $10 per issue. Dot offered to provide ad design service for $5/ad to cover her time if anyone needs help with creating an ad.

3. Adding a Paypal option on the website to allow members to renew membership was discussed and rejected due to cost of setup and the size of the association. It was agreed that this topic will be readdressed when the membership has grown larger.

4. The Board agreed unanimously to increase the membership dues from $20 to $25 to help defray the cost of maintaining the website and forum. This increase will take place with the 2010 dues which are due in January 2010.

5. Dot advised the Board there have been requests from members for printable brochures and that our current brochure is dated. It was agreed that Dot will create a new brochure in .pdf format that can be emailed to members upon request. This will allow members to customize the brochure with their contact information and to print the number of brochures they need.

6. Several members have asked why the RWHA does not issue membership cards. The Board discussed the cost of cards and agreed to have cards made that will be distributed with the 2010 memberhips.

7. The annual RWHA meeting was discussed. It will be held at the ALBC conference in North Carolina on November 14th at 6pm. Room to be announced.

If you have questions or comments about the above decisions/topics, please, forward them to
